Comments Thread For: David Haye Sets Presser on 11/24 to Confirm Comeback

Former world cruiserweight and heavyweight champion David Haye is to hold a press conference on Tuesday (November 24) to confirm his comeback to the ring.

Haye, who turned 35 last month, has not fought since July 2012 after knocking out fellow Brit Dereck Chisora in five rounds to settle their grudge which began with an unsavoury brawl in Munich, Germany five months earlier.

Looks like he'll feature on the Dec 12 bill.

Good to have him back in the mix - and, importantly, this time he'll need to earn his way to a title shot.

Haye vs Povetkin would be a superb match up next year.

More hyperbole about to come out. Some Brits realise he is a fraud now, but many others will eat it up and push out threads left and right about him vs everybody.

As soon as he starts talking so many will fall for it and fill his pockets once again LOL

The Toeminator's plan for cleaning out the heavyweight division:

        Grudge match with Matt Skelton
        World title eliminator vs Stiverne
Pull out of Wilder title shot due to injury
        Take an 18 month break
        Call Vitali out
        Announce comeback

A good yardstick to see if there's anything left might be to match him with the Teper/Helinius winner.

Perfectly timed to snag some spotlight time away from Klitschko - Fury... "Don't forget about me! I'm a boxer and a Brit too!

Better chance Davey gets Audley to come out of retirement for a rematch.

Haye was an all time great cruiserweight, probably 2nd best of all time behind Holyfield. For that, he has a shot at the HOF. And he did well to win a world title at heavyweight, beating the giant in the process despite a foot height difference. People who knock his credentials are dumb. I'm glad to see him back. Some good fights for him at heavyweight to be made

That is an easy fight for Haye... Good idea for a comeback to get back into the swing of things

Would like to see him and Wilder/Fury and Povetkin.

He is a fun heavyweight - Klitschko aside all his fights at heavy were engrossing.

I don't think he can win a world title again unless he can chin Wilder.
