Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas - Cruiserweight contender BJ Flores (31-2-1, 20KOs) is planning to test the waters in the heavyweight division.

Flores was last in the ring in July, when he lost a controversial twelve round decision in a WBA interim-title fight with Beibut Shumenov.

Bj flores is done in boxing.

Dude needs to concentrate on announcing, his future is brighter there than in boxing..

Sounds like he will fight a cherrypick bum, and then get cashed out vs Arreola type heavy

Honestly I think flores would be a good step up test for Dominic breazeale.. Also wouldnt mind flores vs tarver, Mansour, Cunningham

Flores loses all of those fights. But I do see him facing Arreola, easy sell to the Hispanic/Mexican fans. Two brawling buffoons.

I like listening to him on the mic, he's really good and adds to the fight. But I don't care at all about BJ as an active fighter anymore. Fight, don't fight. I just don't care, no excitement for him at all, but hopefully he'll be on the PBC broadcast next week.

I dont like BJ Flores such a hypocite yes we all are one but this guys takes it to the next level, his last fight where he lost he basically was mad and was being poor sport because the asian guy didnt stand still and let BJ hit him and he have to ask how to cut off the ring in the 12 round, but on his commentary he talking about boxing giving people praises who stay away from the fight telling other fighters how easy it is to cut the ring lol.

Breazeale is fighting Charles Martin in Dec., and as bad as he looked vs Kassi last time (I think he lost), I don't see how he gets past Martin. But we could be surprised. Tarver, Mansour, Cunningham would be interesting fights for Flores though.

Bad move. Learn from the past and those that had success moving up. They all EXCELLED in their divisions first. Holyfield excelled at LHW and CW. Micheal Moorer excelled at LHW. Same with Spinks. Roy Jones excelled at MW, SMW, and LHW.

I respect all fighters but there's no reason for a mediocre CW to try and move up to HW. Especially with the size of these dudes today. As others have said stick to commentating and keep all your faculties in the process.
