I've seen Saul fight since he was 13 very hard puncher but he always had trouble with good boxers who were quick on the feet. Johnny Juarez box his ears off at one of those desert show down tournament . Johnny Boy was a much better fighter but had to give up boxing due to a shoulder problemsComment

lol I remember someone telling me Najera wasn't a bum and that he could actually challenge for a title.
Ivan Najera was only brought in to have someone with a pretty looking record to make Verdejo look better than he is.
Saul Rodriguez just showed how much of a chinny bum he actually is.Comment

Impressive
Saul Rodriguez was a buzz saw last night. Thought the fight with Najera was going to go more rounds. I was impressed. This guy has a lot of potential and he's well schooled from Robert Garcia.
You can tell Robert Garcia wants him to fight more like his brother Mikey than he does his other former champs Brandon Rios or Marcos Maidana.Comment

Robert Garcia never taught this kid he was taught at the Azteca boxing club in Bell Ca ,and in Riverside he was taught by Andy Suarez the same guy who taught Chris Arreola but the trainer pass away. His dad than took over but was limited in training boxers. When he turned pro thats when he went to Robert Garcia. I would see Saul knock out other kids out with sparring gloves and head gear. My nephew sparred him once and he said it felt like Saul had bricks in his hands and thats was with 14 oz gloves my nephew was smaller though but he said that is the hardest he ever been punchedSaul Rodriguez was a buzz saw last night.
