Yeah, I'm surprised at how strong he looks.
What the hell were people on this site saying he looked drained for? That's not a drained looking fighter.

Canelo has a big size and youth advantage but I think I'm still picking Cotto to win this. Mostly because he's a better technical fighter and he has decent power. The question for me though, is Cotto tough enough to handle a war if it comes down to that.

Rehydrating up to 20lbs in less than 40 hours is dangerous when your getting ready to tax your stamina and strength. These catchweights for guys like Canelo are unhealthy and could be dangerous.
I believe Freddy will want Cotto to pressure but box Canelo and take him deep into the fight. I doubt that he pressures him all out but both should try to show some effective agression. Both prefer their opponents to lead but Cotto can take the lead and proceed cautiously.
This might be a more technical showing than expected.

I personally would be looking at the opponent very closely as he enters the ring and if theres a negative read on either man I might go strong the first minute of round one. You'd think it would be foolish to get caught like that but I've seen it happen in big fights before.
If Canelo can bring Cotto backwards to 2008-10 when he took shots and didn't respond well he might get Cotto to age in front of him. We'll see!

I might even buy the ticket, the under card looks good with the little guys battling.
