Why wasn't Cotto able to make like 2-3 voluntary defenses of his title after winning it like everyone else does. Had wilder faced his mandatory yet since win his title??? cotto has benefitted several times by the wbc mando being pushed back, so lets not act like he's some kind of victim here

well, technically it was the "interim champion guy", which basically amounts to the "mandatory guy", because an interim champ always trumps other ranked contenders when a mando is due

so when GGG sparked Rubio, he became the "interim champion guy"

bottom line is all of this could have been avoided had Cotto simply done the mando with Rubio way back when.......

rubio had the interim wbc strap, that's how it was transferable
