Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Hopes Cotto-Canelo Heals May-Pac Wounds

THE sting from Mayweather-Pacquiao is still there, which makes anyone who spent the money to watch that overhyped snoozer think twice about wasting their cash on boxing again.

Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez aren’t to blame, but it does force them to have to work harder to sell their own fight.

No it won't. This fight won't be a huge pay per view and it won't be a war. It'll do decent numbers but most likely won't break 1 million buys. And that has nothing to do with May Pac. Neither of these guys are huge stars outside of hardcore boxing fans. One guy doesn't speak English and the other guy barely speaks it. Also stylistically both guys are technicians. Not the way Mayweather and Rigo are technicians but they are technicians with a boxer punchers style. This fight is going to be a chess match with some explosive moments but its not going to be war by any means.

[QUOTE] So you are telling the world that GGG will not sell because he does not speak English. What a dumb and non sense comment has this id1ot here. Go some else to try to predict Pay Per View's numbers based on the ability to speak English not boxing.

As a purist fan, I enjoyed the first half of the fight May-Pac, but 2nd half not so good. I was wondering why Pac didn't press on after the flurry in round 4. Why didn't they mark injured on med sheet b4 fight, n would have gotten painkiller in dressingroom. Just ******. Still, Floyd boxed well n edged it but certainly he didn't hurt Pac bad or anything. It was like Jones-Hopkins I, a win for Roy but no damage done, no domination at all.

It certainly won't be because these two aren't that far apart in skills.

Why does Robert Downey fishnets keep bringing up Floyd/Manny? Sell the fight by selling the fighters, not by trying to piggyback off the financial success of Floyd.

Oscar is a tard. Going back to the roots of boxing where the best fight the best? Didn't Floyd already fight these two plus Pacquaio? Who is he referring to? These two aren't doing anything different, past nor present
