    this situation is very confusing.

if Cotto didn't pay the step aside money to GGG then Canelo shouldn't be able to win it by beating him , right ?
if the step aside agreement wasn't met , doesn't this mean Golovkin should be promptly promoted to full champion ?

He didn't have a problem until they asked him for 1.1 million dollars

800 k is supposed to go to Golovkin to step aside .
        300 k is the sanctioning fee .

that 1.1 million figure thrown around by team cotto to confuse the public is working from what i see.

Indeed it has. From $125k to $800K to $1.1 million.

Cotto/Canelo is a better match up right now than any other in boxing. After this then would come to push for the next big fight.

isn't that pretty common tho ? they just treated Rubio vs GGG as a unification bout.

After all, the WBC has proven over the years that it is a trustworthy organization and only has the best interest of the fighters and the public

That's an irrelevant difference/distinction. Its still 1.1 million out of cotto pocket.

Lol at the amount of butthurt from cotto saying '*** your trinket'

Didn't they pull something similar to Martinez?

Nope it's not common, Rubio v GGG was NOT a unification fight, it was for the interim belt, which was the whole point as the WBC has never allowed another champ from another organisation to fight for their belts, Seems the WBC has been paid off by Team GGG to be able to fight for the interim belt against Rubio, knowing a win moves them into the Cotto or Martinez mandatory position, who can a champion of another organisation be a mandatory for another belt?
