Exactly. They are wishing to face a super drained Canelo to ensure a victory. This is a really weird statement from Roach.
This is originally MW championship bout which should be at 160lbs but negotiated (most probably by Cotto) at a very low 155lbs.
So Roach saying Canelo is struggling to make weight is like saying they are not fighting the best Canelo there is right? Why would they like people to know that. If Cotto wins, we can all dismiss it as an impressive win because Canelo is drained, right?
The he tries to make the 175lbs fight night weight prediction to what???Comment

hahah Loeffer must of been like. "lets cancel the ppv to fight ward" why hasn't he released the date he sent the e-mail? Even loeffer called him out on it and ward didn't even respond. Also you hold GGG to saying "154-168" yet there are tons of articles where COward is saying "id move up to 175 for the right fight" or "i feel I can compete at LHW and even beat a klitchko" haha COward didn't even wanna fight Bute.Fookin hilarious

On the date of that article, Ward had been inactive for 18 months and needed time to get back down to 168, that is why he fought Smith at 172.
EVERYBODY knows that, it was well-documented at the time.
I will say again kid..... EVERYBODY knows that
And what happened after the Smith fight, when Ward was ready ?
Here, let me remind you..........
Andre Ward Must Go to 164 or No Fight
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to budge from his position that a potential fight with Andre Ward will only happen if Ward - the recognized champion at super middleweight - is wiling to meet them halfway at a catch-weight of 164-pounds. Golovkin and his team received more than their fair share of heat in recent days, after placing a catch-weight demand on a potential fight with Ward. The reason for the heat, is because Golovkin was willing to fight both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the full super middleweight limit.
And what happened AFTER that, here I will remind you again.....
