Roach badly wants a win over Floyd via one of his fighters.

All that said- Cotto gave Floyd his toughest fight of the last leg of his career IMO, Maidana included. Cotto has elite timing when he boxes and picks his shots, Maidana was just hacking a slashing without a 2nd thought (which was also really fun to see).


Don't expect to see Cotto KO Canelo though. That would be the most shocking of the possible outcomes to me, but it's definitely happened before.

Good post but NOBODY has ever countered Floyd the way Manny did. And to be fair, he was injured in round 4!!!!!!!!! And he still won the fight in many eyes. Cotto gassed because he isn't as smart as Manny. It was a great fight but it's his own fought he lost down the stretch. Floyd was never in control of the fight against Manny. Why? Because of Manny's reflexes, his ring IQ, and his defense. Floyd had the hardest time hitting Manny cleanly. Not only that, Floyd came forward against Cotto. He was running to survive every round against Manny. FACT. So, if he comes back, he OWES us and Manny a rematch. And he cheated and sabotaged the entire fight behind the scenes.

Some of this is true. Floyd did come forward against Cotto, which surprised me. I'm not Floyd fan and I wanted Manny to win their fight, but your love of Manny has clouded your perspective of what actually happened in that fight. You're way off.

Could be quite a good fight. If Cotto fights Mayweather again, he won't knock him down or out as Roach says. Same result as before. Leave Floyd, he's retired and rich. Only want to see him back if he fights GGG, not happening.

Trained for several weeks? Doesn't sound like a very long camp to me. Freddie's myopic views on the sport will be exposed once again. No doubt to me that Cotto will eventually buckle under pressure. I believe this fight is more important to Canelo and that it is going to show Saturday night.
