  • I'm still puzzled as to how Floyd managed to retire undefeated

Throughout history all brash, c*cky, arrogant champions have eventually been humbled after accumulating a long undefeated streak. All the way from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson to Roy Jones and most recently Ronda Rousey.

How the hell did this sneaky ****er slip through the cracks while continuing to remain so odious?

    - Ali was robbed of some of his best years due to not being allowed to Box. When he came back, he wasn't the same.

    - Tyson went to jail and had the wrong people around him.

    - RJJ? His DQ doesn't count to me. After that? He messed around with his body. Going up and down etc.

    - Floyd? Got lucky.

You can't deny he's a very talented fighter, one of the best of all time.

He has a fighting style that first and foremost avoids risk. Plus you could say he chose the right fights at the right times towards the end of his career.

But realistically, no one around his weight was better than him.

While Floyd is deliberate about who and when he fights, he also hasn’t fought many chumps. For a professional boxer, it takes mental fortitude, skill, and a mixture of timing and luck to excel in the ring.

Other than the fact he's ridiculously skilled, Floyd is a meticulous planner and a real cautious cat. His incredible defensive approach to every fight is what puts him above everyone else in this era. For a guy who's had a bulls eye target in his head for well more than a decade, you would at least think he'll have a few if not a couple of knock downs in his career, it still amazes me how not even ONE (1) came close to putting Floyd on his knees.

He's just that good. Ppl can say he picks this and does that but every fighter has off nights. Every one. One punch can change anything and everything. Hes not a fortune teller, he cant predict everything his opponents are coming to the ring wit. And with all the top fighters he's fought, it's quite a feat that he's remained on top as long and virtually untouched. He's had some close fights. But with that said, his run at the top is quite good.
