Comments Thread For: Tony Bellew Confident of Knocking David Haye Out

Tony Bellew has put his hand up as a potential opponent for David Haye, should the two-weight world champion make a return to boxing.

Haye this week announced he has linked up with Carl Frampton's trainer Shane McGuigan, fuelling talk of a comeback more than three years since his last professional bout.

The 35-year-old has not been seen in a competitive fight since knocking out Dereck Chisora in July 2012, and injuries have twice scuppered a huge heavyweight clash with Tyson Fury.

If stevenson can do such a job on Tony then Haye would absolutely destroy him . I Would be surprised if Bellew would be allowed to go past two.

I can't see Haye ever making cruiserweight, he said it was already a struggle and he was in his 20's then, now he's mid 30's, no chance.

Anyway, if Stevenson can put Bellew away, imagine what Haye would do with a right hand.

Chisora isn't a great fighter but he's been in with some very good competition and nobody has dropped him and then knocked him out like Haye did, and the shot that seriously hurt Del Boy was a left hand out of a Southpaw stance while Haye was backing up.

Whatever you think of Haye, that guy carries serious power in both bands. Far too much for Bellew.

haha bellew does make me laugh, he as not knocked out a top 10 fighter ever in pros, he couldn't knock out cleverly who fought with one hand. Haye would blast him out inside 2 rounds
