He doesn't have that sort of money, it takes hundreds of million to successfully run a championship club/lower tier premier league club.

Bolton have run up a debt of £170+ million, buying off that kind of debt would ruin Amir Khan. No chance, if it's even remotely true then it's got to be a group of which he will be a small part owner of the club.
