Las Vegas - Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya was not a happy camper when he found out Tuesday morning that Miguel Cotto had dropped the WBC middleweight championship.

This coming Saturday night, De La Hoya's star fighter, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, will face Cotto in the main event of an HBO Pay-Per-View card from the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

After reading the article I don't see wtf Oscar is *****ing about. Cotto drops the belt so as not to pay a high sanction fee. Canelo is still fighting for the belt if he wins he gets the belt no matter which way it went. Situation is the same. Only Cotto is affected by this win or lose.

Unless Canelo intends to defend his titles at 160lb, Oscar shouldn't be running his mouth off.

^^^ This basically. It is a bit of a ***** move by Cotto, but it doesn't effect Canelo really.

Why is Oscar crying? Cotto not paying sanctioning fees in no way messes with Alvarez fighting for the title.

                Translation :

"If Canelo is deemed the victor than that means he is a legit middleweight who has to fight other legit middleweights and eventually will be forced to fight GGG jeopardizing my only star in my stable. "

                Oscar.

Big fan of Oscar the fighter. Oscar the promoter just pisses me off most of the time.

Why would anyone pay a 1.1 million dollar fee just to hold the belt? I mean, its not rocket science here.
