He would have eaten little mild meek Manny alive. I agree with GrandpaBernard, I think Mayweather took Pac way more seriously than he let on.

Its media hype man. Shes in a combat sport where anything can happen. Tyson losing Douglas, ALi losing to Spinks. These things can happen. Its not about being overrated. She was the champ who defended her title. I wanted Rousey too lose but i cant call her overrated. Those who trained with her including men are impressed with what she can do.

I kind of agree with this post.

Not convinced that anyone else but Holm can beat Rousey, maybe.....

And also not convinced that Holm deals with the other top women in that division as easy as she dealt with Rousey.

It's about styles.

Dane White laid a huge fkn egg imho.

He was as inept as Arum when he selected Salido for Lomachenko.

The guy you don't match with a rookie pro, is a tough tricky vet who is right on top of his game..... Arum consigned Lomachenko to 12 rounds of hell.

And White did the same thing with Rousey.

Rousey's weakness was standup..... and yet not only did he put her in with a good standup fighter, he put her in with the best standup fighter in that division..... a boxing welterweight phenom who can KO suckers with a kick.

Terrible gameplan from White, he should have stuck with Tate as planned.

Fair to say but no one knows why the fights did not happen either. We all know Ward has been very inactive and Triple G likes to be active so ill side with Triple G in not wanting to wait on Ward. Lara seems to talk a little too much, he really hurt himself with that Canelo performance. That was his chance, he showed more aggression in the build up of the fight then during it. Closest he ever got to Canelo were in the face offs. So whatever the reason maybe those fights happen one day. Cant so he said they said when we have no idea.

Right, so IF Golovkin refuses to give Cotto/Canelo a reasonable catchweight, the list of fighters that he COULD have fought, but chose not to, is.....

So, comparing those lists objectively, it appears that Golovkin is avoiding world-class opponents.

If Golovkin CHOOSES not to fight another world-class opponent, will you still " side with Triple G " ?

It goes round round man. Floyd, Manny, Oscar they did this boxing. Its about the name, the money, they legacy. Fighters want to choose who they fight instead of the promoters doing the work. Its hard to say anyone in this era is an all time great when so many fights didnt happen or took to long to happen. To be honest tho, Lara does nothing for Triple G. Yes both Floyd and Lara are smaller but there is nobody in boxing who would make a different decision the Triple G. Floyd earned his shot for people to knock him off he was a target. Lara a good boxer who to most....who is he? Reruns get higher ratings then his fights. But again thats the time we live in. Money means more then titles, ratings mean more then resume.

Each fighter avoided him Triple G will most likely go on to win the belt and make everyone in the division come to him.

Lara who knows, wouldnt mind seeing the fight. On paper it would look good for Triple G but not what most critics will look at. Look how popular Canelo is but the Lara fight is never talked about. Lara is a good boxer but he himself could fight better opponents himself. Hes been pretty dormant lately.

Ward would make Triple G then man in the boxing circle. Outside of the circle or Oakland know Ward for as an announcer. All of us would definitely say wow if he beat Ward cause we know what Ward is.

But like i say, i am not in the meetings i dont know what goes on. For what crazy reasons the fights are not made. Look at the first time around with Cotto/Canelo. One of the biggest issues was the type of beer. I mean come on.

We have 17 divisions now, so catchweights are completely unnecessary.

If two guys are that far apart in weight that a catchweight is required, then the bout is nothing more than an exhibition match anyways.

Maybe there is a place for catchweights in true exhibition matchups..... with un-ranked, or older fighters..... maybe.
