    Odds for Lewis - Tua?

Does anyone know what the odds were for Lennox Lewis vs. David Tua?

By the way, I rewatched Rid**** Bowe - Andrew Golota II couple hours ago. What a great, great fight.
Feel free to talk about both topics in this thread.

Lewis was like a 4-1 favorite, if I recall correctly. All experts agreed that Tua would have to win by KO or it's a UD for Lewis. Boring fight.

I was psyched for Tua to win by KO. Lewis was scared for the first 4 rounds. Even got roughed up a bit....but Tua never went for the body or used an upper cut when he had Lewis on the ropes.

    Lewis...jabbed his way to victory.

I was heartbroken. Coz then I knew after that fight, that Tyson would lose by KO to Lewis.

The first four rounds were very shaky for LL even though Tua hardly did much...I believe at the end of the thrid round Manny Steward is smacking Lewis across the face after he was buzzed at the very end of the round.

After about the 6th round you realized that this fight is over and if you tuned in to see the Big LL get stretched (like I did)then you were going home disappointed.

Tua claimed he hurt his rib early in the fight and that played a part in his gross performance over the second half of the fight.

In my view Lewis played it save, which was boring, and Tua did nothing but wait for his left hook to land. The fight was very disappointing afterall.

        Didn't expect 4:1 odds, pretty one-sided - expected more like 2:1, maybe 3:1.

those odds were cause nobody really thought tua would beat lewis but enough would bet on tua at 4 to 1 odds
who really thought the guy that clearly be holyfield twice was gonna go get knocked out by a far inferior david tua

tua did nothing the whole night like he was mesmerized by lewis or something

Tua often fought as if he was mezmoraized by his opponent...it wasnt all Lennox.

Tua often had to pull fights out of the fire because he had been consistently outpointed in distance fights.

Plus the Tua that LL fought was not the Tua that fought Rahman in their first bout or Ike in their bout...not saying he would have beaten Lewis (Lewis had a great cautious style for the Samoan) but if Lennox had a shaky first four rounds against that version of Tua he would have had few more shaky rounds against the version we say fight Ike or Rock.

anybody with tuas power landing many shots is gonna knock almost anybody out eventually

wrong. tua fought scared. lewis shook him a bit in the first round with a counter shot and tua fought timid the rest of the fight. threw very little punches. was just too afraid to let his hands go and be countered. I lost a lot of respect for tua during that fight

I said in the beginning, Tua was doing alright. Watch the fight again. Lewis did come out in the 1st round throwing...but then you'll see Lewis get more defensive and almost got caught while on the ropes. However, after the 4th, Tua just plodded along taking jabs all night and Lewis gained confidence and was content to win by "boxicology", as he put it.

I dont agree. I saw the fight twice and tua did well in the first round but did little for the rest of the fight. its lewis's style to fight safety first. for tua,,,he had to fight agressively ,,that was his only way of winning but he elected to do nothing but survive the 12 rounds
