He holds the most prestigious championship in the sport. He's a multimillionaire. What is it that you think elite means?

    Maybe this will help you:

Definitely not elite if Bruno wasn't elite.

Mayweather and Pacquiao are hardly a measuring stick for eliteness. They are some of the best fighters who ever lived.

No. He had an elite punch, but that's where it ends. The muscle-bound oaf got dropped every time he stepped up in competition. He had a glass jaw along with no stamina. He had a ferocious punch though.

I respect what the #11 guy had to do to get where he's got & I think many boxing fans would call that #11 guy a bum sooner than he'd call him elite & I think thats nuts & way to snobby of a way to look at the immense talent it takes just to get to that #11 spot among 1,500-2,000 fighters. If your kid was the #11 best anything among a 1,500-2,000 kid pool most parents would be bragging or hyping that **** to friends non-stop. Boxers aren't appreciated as much lol.
I see what you're saying but think how many welterweight world champions there has been in the history of boxing, there has been at least a hundred. Then consider the amount of divisions we have, each housing another hundred world champions. We're looking at thousands of world champions.

I don't take the ATG boxing fantasy ************ conversations seriously. Thats scifi ****. You can only be a top fighter among your own era & you can only be an elite fighter in your own era. No one can index all the great fighters in history into classes with a straight face or have it hold water to a reasonable & rational boxing fan. There are too many intangibles & unknowns & far too much subjectivity in life, boxing & time travel matchmaking to take those conversations as anything but childlike The Hulk can beat up The Thing-type discussions.

Let's make 5 more sanctioning bodies, give out titles???

He won in a real man's era! None of this b1tch crap triple beta crap we have today.

The global population has increased by about 2 billion, how do you fairly compare! How??? Define your criteria, don't be lazy and postulate wild questions. Define your selection criteria, get the criteria peer reviewed, then postulate your question!

                    Intelligence squared, be precise!

He did give Lewis a good fight, although I heard lewis wasn't 100%.
