Comments Thread For: David Benavidez To Return To Action in January

As promised, 18-year-old boxing prodigy David "El Bandera Roja" Benavidez made his ShoBox: The New Generation debut an unforgettable one at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Saturday night.

The granite-fisted Benavidez, now 11-0, 10 KOs, dug cruel hooks to the body and clubbing shots to the head while dropping opponent Felipe Romero three times on his way to a TKO 1 (2:00).

That is good, he could really fight next week if he wanted to though. With his body type taking off during the holiday season seems like it could be an issue, he needs to tighten up and slim down not blow up further.

He looked good and at 18 they can take their time to build his career right.
By the end of the next year, he could be ready for a title shot, if he keeps up the early KO's.
