Comments Thread For: Lemieux's Manager Talks Return, GGG, Stevens Fight

Canadian star David Lemieux (34-3, 31KOs) will likely return to the ring in the early part of 2016, according to his longtime manager Camille Estephan of Eye of The Tiger Management.

"He's taking some time off. Hopefully he will fight sometime in March or April," Estephan told BoxingScene.com. "[Lemieux] can still beat anybody at middleweight, I'm confident. We want the top guys, nothing has changed. We still want that. We're confident David has that [ability to beat the top guys]."

Stevens vs Lemieux as a headliner?
    Guess you'll be out longer

After that performance, Lemieux is lucky if he gets an HBO co-feature against anyone.

Another delusional promoter, fighter and trainer. He cannot shine kovalevs shoes. No way he outsells Kovalev 80-20. What they should really concentrate on is getting a real trainer to see if anything is their besides a crude no defense slugger. If not once he steps up again he will get beat

Eh, he should have taken that. Being a co-feature on Kov/Pascal is keeping him in the mainstream media.

Can he make more money by headlining his own event? Probably. But he'd get more exposure on Kov card.

Not sure who HBO will be happy to pay him to fight at MW. Stevens could be a fun fight, but Curtis can stink up the fight at times when he goes into his shell. Maybe Korobov?

Korobov actually seems like a good fight for Lemieux. Maybe even Tureano Johnson or the loser of Lee/Saunders.
