World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman says a battle between WBC super middleweight champion Badou Jack (20-1-1, 12KOs) and Mexican star Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32KOs) is very possible to happen in 2016.
Jack flew over to China to attend the WBC's recent annual convention and Chavez's father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., was also present.
Both boxers have told Sulaiman they are very interested in a fight taking place in the new year.
