Comments Thread For: Canelo Feels Boost From Oscar De La Hoya's Advice

Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez appreciates all the advice that he's received during his long training camp from Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya.

The fight is now less than a week away, as Canelo will challenge WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Canelo is the biggest star promoted by De La Hoya's company. De La Hoya, a former six division world champion who fought in some of the biggest events in boxing history, has been frequent visitor to Canelo's camp.

Thats all well and good. Listen to him I am sure he has some nuggets of good advice. As long as that advice isn't the blueprint to beating Cotto. We all know how those turn out.

Double agent De La Hoya. Golden Boy is all an illusion and he's actually in cahoots with the opposition all the time.

But seriously, i wouldn't be taking blueprints and advice from Cotto. In all my time watching boxing i don't think he's called a fight correctly yet. At least a big fight anyway.

Oscar gave you the blueprint to beat a fighter he lost against and you got dominated. Oscar ducked Cotto claiming he promised his wife he'd never fight a Puerto Rican fighter. Stop listening to Oscar.
