Holly Holm beat the hell out of Rhonda Rousey. that was an unbelieveable performance. Absolute beat down.

If Holme came back to boxing and fought Anne Wolf do you think it would be a big deal.

anything is possible with modern-day feminism.

except a woman beating a man in a fair fight.

women's boxing got a lot of coverage here in the uk during and after the last olympics. nicola adams and katie taylor are quite famous. however, i think boxing fans are less susceptible to gimmicks than ufc fans, due to latter being marketed basically as "real WWE"

Yes but that is in the hands of promoters and networks. GBP, TR, PBC have to start putting women's boxing on televised undercards, even co-main events on big PPV's. It's also up to Showtime, HBO, Sky to support female boxing as well.

If a promoter picked the right women for their stable. Someone with KO power, talented, good looking and English speaking.

Ronda has had millions of dollars pumped behind her as a marketing machine, its a shame someone like Holm had to migrate to UFC because womens boxing couldn't give her the purses and recognition that she deserved.

I think that if a Hot sexy female boxer came out of nowhere with a good exciting style and personality that would blow up woman's boxing especially if she became champion knocking everybody out and having a good run.

Yes - I don't think it is about men and women, the reason why Ronda Rousey became so popular was because she was destroying nearly everyone in a round. She developed the Mike Tyson effect of invincibility, this along with the fact that she talks well (and controversially), is good looking, and just an extremely marketable package means that she has really taken off and lets face it now put women's mixed martial arts on the map.

It doesn't matter what the sport or performance when there is something unique, something or someone with an X factor that people are drawn to then it will inevitably breakthrough.

I think the odds are that a women will eventually come through in boxing who will have an X Factor and probably like Rousey it will take someone who is just knocking everyone out and some other factors going for her and will become box office, yes I believe that.

Yes, it would take the daughter, niece, etc of a mega talented/popular boxer like for instance let's say Mayweathers daughter. If she was a talented boxer she could create a buzz to bring female boxing to the mainstream (at least for a short period of time.)

All it needs is a hot girl with personality, a good story and some talent.
