Yes, and I think that was a case of Abraham underestimating Smith.

He went 12 rounds with him twice.



Anyway. I think Murray was an underrated middleweight. With fair judging he could easily only have that 1 defeat to GGG on his record and wins over Martinez and Sturm.

I'm not sure he's strong enough at SMW though. He's not the biggest puncher and Abraham is a strong guy. Then again Froch managed to outbox and outjab Abraham all night so i wonder if Murray will try to follow that plan. That's probably his best chance.

How does Murray even get the fight?
He just fought two 8 rounders and a 12 round with a guy he knocked down 8 times? How does this guy rank fighting prelim guys?
He gets stopped in a title fight than gets another shot within the year? wow!

turns out that was the faded version of martinez whos legs had gone.

In either case, it should probably have been Murray and not Cotto as the lineal champ.
