Really? Easily huh? Just a bad gameplan right? First of all Ronda did try to take Holm down and she was successful atleast once. Holm defended the armbar as well as the other takedown attempts by Ronda and even took her down once herself. Second, so how does one go about taking a person down? Can they just teleport over to them and grab them? If you are a fight fan of any kind you would know of long-range, medium-range and short-range distances of a fight. Ronda is a very good short/close range fighter in that once she clinches you her judoka skills lead to throws and eventually an armbar. Holm is a long to mid range fighter with the strength to defend against short/close range attacks. Both Ronda and Holm knew both these things. This is why Ronda was in such a rush to attack Holm because she didn't want to be at long/mid distance too long. Holm tagged her and picked her apart everytime then moved away. And when she did get caught she defended it beautifully. Ronda was outclassed plan and simple. To win that fight she needed to close distance behind a jab or use head movement. She's not a wrestler shes a judo expert so she doesn't know how to shoot either. Just a plan bad matchup for her that exposed weaknesses in Ronda's fight game.

Fair call. I didn't consider the idea that those arms could be grabbed so it makes sense. I've also seen the whole fight now and yeah, those shots were actually pretty hard and damn accurate.

Let's be honest, Rousey wins a rematch easily. The gameplan was so bad lol. She literally helped Holly to win. The intention from the very beginning should have been to take her down, not lounge in with her face out blinded by emotion wanting to take the head off a methodical boxer.

The problem is, you have to lounge in if you want to take somebody down. Holms takes her again in a rematch.

This is curious, the woman was being promoted as someone that could beat the best boxer on the planet. Do you get that? A blubbery not sure on her feet hype job is supposed to beat Mayweather? You don't even have to like the guy, hell you could hate him, but the idea that an out of shape woman from the MMA is going to do all that should be insulting to fans of the sport, not of Floyd, the sport of boxing.

Ronda will never beat Holm unless she becomes an expert in shooting takedowns, they dont teach those at judo. Just walking to your opponent trying to grab her won't work here.

Exactly, these are people that hang out around the periphery of the sport but refuse to be challenged by its depth. Enough with the hate already, it gets to the point where it becomes cartoonish. These cats are unpaid contrarians....
