    Have Fanboyism destroyed Boxing?

I swear to God nowadays boxing fans are like groupies sucking these fighters nuuts. Just support your fighter and let the best man win enough with the excuses for your favorite fighters defeat ....I can't stand youtube & facebook suppose boxing fans just talking crap and not being logical. I am fan of both GGG & Ward but for some reason I have to pick a side....it don't make sense talking to these suppose boxing fans. If Ward loses to Kovalev o'well ...you win some & you lose some as a fan ....life goes on.... but some how these suppose boxing fans all have agendas or some deep hatred toward some fighters...i am a Puerto Rican fan and I am a fan of Boxing....Il root for my Rican fighters & my favorite other fighters but I will never be a fanboy aka male groupie...if cotto loses to Canelo o'well...canelo was the better fighter that night but if cotto beats Canelo I better not hear crying & excuses from Canelo Fanboys!!## that's my Rant f#/k it

I've never understood this myself. If you're a true fan of the sport, wouldn't you get more enjoyment from it by not limiting yourself to being a fan of one fighter.

True ....boxing fans tend to stick their own race or nationality. ...I'm not asking fans not to support their fighters what I'm asking them is to be fair & logical.

Are you new around here? I was a boxing fan for a long time and was pretty shocked when i joined this forum. I'd been talking boxing with lots of hardcore and mainstream fans for a long time and had never encountered what i saw here lol.

It doesn't destroy boxing but it does make it less tolerable to discuss fights and fighters on forums.

I agree to a certain extent. If your fighter loses then just take it like a man. Don't make excuses, or cry about rewatching in slow motion, or try to have an agenda against the winner for the rest of your life.

Just accept that the other guy was better.

Exactly. There is rational discussion around here...it's debatable whether it worth sifting through the trash to find it. I see this forum as more for entertainment purposes than anything else.
