Comments Thread For: Fernando Vargas: Rosado Doing Amazing Work in Camp

As Gabriel Rosado prepares for his December 19th clash against Joshua Clottey at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York, he will have a familiar face in the corner - former junior middleweight champion Fernando Vargas, who now owns and operates the Feroz Fight Factory in Las Vegas and now trains boxers.

They will need all of god's help...because Clottey is one tough MTF. People underestimate the ghaniain. Poor Rosado; it's unfortunate for him... but koodos for stepping up to the challenge everytime.

I didn't even know Rosado was working with Vargas. Seems like a good match.

Hell yeah Rosado with Vargas is major, Rosado is a beast and always comes to fight ready but was held back so long by his original trainer and now looking for a real trainer. Perfect match up imo.

Fernando Vargas: "Rosado's cut hasn't opened up yet, we're doing great."

Rosado/Clottey is god's work? I think my expectations were a little higher.

Nah, Rosado is fun to watch, but he's developed way too much of a sparring partner mentality over the years. He takes a hell of a beating, but he will never beat a top-tier opponent. He doesn't really try to win fights. Looking tough is good enough for him. Vargas picked the wrong horse.
