Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Mayweather Will Return, Fight Several Times

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is strongly predicts that Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) will return to the ring next year - and it won't be for a single fight.

Mayweather retired in September, after his twelve round domination of Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather has denied the possibility of a ring return, but many in the industry believe he's going to return in 2016 to at least pursue his 50th victory to break the undefeated record of heavyweight Hall of Famer Rocky Marciano.

Oscar needs help. He is obsessed with floyd, talking about floyd more than he does his own fighters, writing him spiteful letters. He is one step away from hiding out at his house peeping through his windows.Floyd might need a restraining order against him.

I watched several De La Hoya interviews yesterday and he brought up Floyd in each and every interview. You can see the emotion in his face when bringing up Mayweather. Floyd's success is killing Oscar.

Oscar stop piggy backing and using Floyd's name to promote Canelo vs Cotto.

You read my mind man. Oscar's obsession with Floyd is getting weird now.

what record are these idiots talking about? A lot of champions blew past 50 and 0 when there were less titles and less weight classes. If there were only 7 weight classes and 1 title, Floyd may have never become champion. If you are not the unified champion, you are not a champion.

I never liked Mayweather, but I got to give him credit for always training hard and being an outstanding fighter. I hope he stays retired and if he does not........fight a healthy Manny again for number 50.
