    I don't see why not.

They both need the fight. Ward's only big fight at 168 was Golovkin and he didn't want it. Stevenson is with Haymon who doesn't do business with Roc. So Kovalev is the only really big fight for him.

Plus Kovalev is running out of opponents too seeing as he's having to rematch Pascal now.

Everyone involved wants it and needs it.

Considering Ward's recent opposition and the fact that he still wants to fight ESPN level fighters what makes you think he gets in the ring with Kovalev?

I do. I think it'll happen towards the end of the year.

This time next year seems like a semi-realistic proposition but only if Ward goes through his 'tune-ups' at a steady pace.

The Smith fight was in mid-June, and I figure he'll take a couple more fights before anything big. If I had to put money on it, early 2017 is your best bet.

The fight is going to happen. It's part of his HBO deal.

The only question you raised is whether it will be by the end of next year.

Princess Ward will demand it be in Oakland, with a shady home ref like Jack Reiss or Lawrence Cole to help out, and he'll say "no" to random PED testing for the fight.

He might fight Sergey if he's given all the advantages.

Or he might feel too insecure about it and not go through with it no matter what.

Kathy Duva was the one who said she doesn't believe in random PED testing.

Covering all your bases in terms of excuses. Typical f@ggotry from you.

Even though I think the way he was ****ting on fans is some ***** ****. Until he does otherwise, I got no reason to believe he won't fight Kovalev.

I always thought he would and I still don't see a reason why he wouldn't fight Sergey.
