Andre Ward didn’t exactly sound Wednesday night as if he is in a hurry to get in the ring with Sergey Kovalev.

During an interview with HBO’s Michelle Beadle as part of a new episode of “The Fight Game with Jim Lampley” that debuted Wednesday night, Ward was honest about when he thinks a fight against Kovalev will take place. Yeah listening to Ward last night it could be easy to interpret it as him setting himself up with an out vs Kovalev next year. He didn't know how long he's been out of the ring - Smith to Rodriguez was close to 2 years Andre and Dawson to Rodriguez was just over 1 year.
