Of course his comments seem out of place in today's society.

What you must remember is Tyson is a gypsy. In the UK they don't really integrate into society, they live outside of the education system so most don't attend school, they don't marry outsiders. Their culture is deep rooted in religion and the truth is some part of their culture is 100 years behind what society in general thinks is normal now. They're even classed as their own ethnic race in the UK. Fury isn't your typical modern european man...he's almost as far from it as can be.

I don't agree with him, but i understand that his beliefs come from the culture he's from. Actually a some younger gypsies like Tyson are integrating more into society and no longer living in gypsy sites like before but these beliefs will have been with him all his life from the people around him.

As i say, i can't agree with it but these are the beliefs of his culture so at least he isn't afraid to speak his mind. It's a bit heavy to call him "deranged" - surely he's allowed to believe what he wants to.

I doubt you would be pro-gay if it weren't instilled in you by your society, and when it falls out of favor again people will see this generation as backwards, people with Fury's beliefs as defiant moralists (even though Fury in particular is a bad example, since it seems like he's half-joking).

However, I was speaking as a guy from the UK about another guy from the UK who come from basically a culture who doesn't integrate with "everyday society" in the UK and are outside of the education systems and everything like that. The comments he made were in an interview to a British newspaper too.

So all i'm saying is within the context of him being from the UK, his comments go totally against the grain of the mentality and what's instilled in them by society. But he's a Gypsy and that means he's not what you could class as your average British guy living in an average British society, because he grew up far removed from that, so it's understandable why he thinks the way he does and why he has no fear about going against the grain of society in the UK.

His views are probably more in line with people from another country really but making the comments he does in the country he lives in is always going to cause a backlash because of the mentally instilled and drummed into society.

I just think people need to take into consideration his background before calling him a "bigot and deranged" - he's just a product of his background and that's their beliefs.
