160k was a success. Mark Taffet basically confirmed the numbers. He can't lie to the public, since he represents the network and cares a responsibility. Actually it would be a crime to mislead the shareholders.

The PPV generated more than 8 million US-Dollar. HBO gets 50% as usual. The 4 million dollar left is way more than HBO usually is willing to pay for a non-ppv fight. Therefore, can't see the flop here. Basically the PPV has financed the Bradley vs. Rios fight. Unfortunately, most boxing fans are too ******ed to understand maths. It is what it is.

I congratulate K2 for the great job they are doing. Keep up the good work.

MMA taking over boxing???? BS! Been hearing that for 15 years. Their best fighter is a woman??? Lot of guys ranked with 10+ losses. How many times did that Chael Sonnen guy get championship fights after loses??? Do steroids suspended for a year. smoke weed suspended for life... 2 guys on ground with sweaty chest 69ing each other most of the fight = gay ****.

Yes they occasionally have some KOs but most fights end up with two almost naked guys in too of each other... Not for me!

ok, so GGG doesn't deserve a shot but Geale did after getting destroyed by GGG? lol. then, please, humor me - who deserves a fight with Cotto more than GGG?

He had 150-160k PPV buys as stated by multiple outlets. Of course, you take one source as fact because you're biased against GGG and wish for nothing more than for him to fail.

Anyways: he earned his shot the second he became Cotto's mandatory. You want to fight in the middleweight division? You fight your mandatory or vacate. I know it's hard for you to understand, but please try using your very limited brain capacity.

hbo takes 10% of ppv off the top, the promoters collect 45% and the cable company get another 45%. that means HBO got 800k from the ppv, and some extra money from other areas, PPV is more for the promoters to maximize their money, not the network. the network just brings the viewers.
