Klimas confirms Glazkov in talks to face Wilder in January

Manager Egis Klimas has confirmed that Glazkov is negotiating with Wilder.

The date seems to be set as 16th January at Barclays Centre and seems to be a tough challenge for Wilder to take before his mando with Povetkin, so i'd be surprised if it does end up being Glazkov and not some scrub.

Then again, Glazkov has been underwhelming recently and is pretty inconsistent...he would be Wilder's toughest fight but I'm not sure he would have enough to win.

Glazkov not that great, but way better than Dunlap and Espinoza.... so the bet voluntary of the three.

The only convincing victory this dude seems to have is against Adamek at the top level

Respectable fight for Wilder but he should handle Glazkov, who is very solid, but seems to have little hunger and killer instinct.

I like this fight, like it a lot. Glazkov is no pushover, he's a solid contender with good boxing skills but nothing more. Earlier this summer, he beat Steve Cunningham to secure a mandatory title shot against IBF Champion Wladimir Klitschko. He ain't gonna beat Klitschko, but with Wilder he has a better shot.

That said, I think Wilder is a much more complete fighter (don't ****in hate) than Glazkov. Wilder has elite physical conditioning, decent (and improving) boxing skills, tremendous power, explosiveness and killer instinct and I think Wilder wins no problem.

Glazkov is too small and doesn't have enough power to hurt Wilder.

          Wilder will likely stop him.

Taking this fight is not a smart move for Glazkov. He's Klitschko's IBF mandatory, so he'd have a bigger payday.

Why are you begging Glazkov to duck Wilder? Glazkov has a much better chance to beat Wilder than Klitschko. You'd make for a bad manager.

Glazkov has no chance of beating either.

That's not true. I'd like to think Wilder runs through him, but an Olympic bronze and World silver medalist should not be overlooked against a guy as raw and inexperienced as Wilder.

Funny how you are bigging Glazkov now that he's likely fighting Wilder!

You never had anything but bad to say about him before.

I don't think he's very good, he's got 3 fights he was lucky to escape without a loss, but he's the type of guy I would like to see Wilder fight before Povetkin; strong amateur pedigree, top 10 HW, has some boxing skills.
