It's in neither of their natures to be able to give verbal like that, they don't have the thinking speed or personality for it.

Floyd can say the most audacious braggadocio things possible because he owns that character, he owns that space. When you're not that guy and you try to pull it, it looks awkward. Then when you're in the firing line, there's very little you can do, other than play the 'noble' role and keep your mouth shut.



You're dead on with this, I saw that too. Manny was almost childlike in the build up to the fight.

Floyd does not have the thinking speed or personality for it either which is why he always comes off looking dumb.

I think people read far too much into body language and all that stuff when it comes to boxing weigh in's and press conferences.

None of these guys are scared if they've signed up for it. Does anybody really believe Manny or Floyd were scared of the other? They have been fighting since childhood. Maybe they could be scared to lose because of the hype and reputations but i don't believe either was scared of the fight.

None of these guys are cowards. Some guys like Floyd might be very safety first but he's far from being a coward. He steps in the ring with other trained fighters who are trying to take his head off, he's eaten big shots and comes right back. Guys like him and Pacquiao have made it to the top because they're tough as hell when it comes down to it and they all have balls of steel, all of them who step in that ring, regardless of styles.

So no, i don't believe either was scared. Just maybe afraid of losing.

Besides, Manny's persona and selling point is the smiling religious charitable family man, so that's why there's no trash talk. Floyd's is the opposite, that's what added the extra hype besides their boxing ability.

In fact Manny ****s and impregnates hookers and Floyd does his bits for Charity too. They are probably more alike than people would think or care to admit, or cant see due to fanboyism.

There was no reason for either one to talk 'cause Mayweather did all the talking. Mayweather is skilled at self promoting. He gets people so mad at him they spend their hard earned money to see him lose every fight and usually end up disappointed. I never understood how some people were more interested in him losing than seeing their fighter win.
