Comments Thread For: Canelo Doesn't Consider Cotto's Age A Disadvantage

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has three more fights on his professional boxing record than Miguel Cotto, even though Alvarez didn’t make his debut until 4½ years after Cotto.

Nevertheless, Alvarez has a significant age advantage over Cotto as they head toward their highly anticipated middleweight championship showdown Nov. 21 in Las Vegas. The 25-year-old Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs) is nearly 10 full years younger than Cotto (40-4, 33 KOs), who has been stopped twice and endured numerous grueling fights during his 14-year pro career.

age in this fight is an advantage canelo will bring nothing new to the ring that cotto hasn't seen before but canelo hasn't fought the caliber of fighter of cotto before he fought Floyd but Floyd doesn't hit harder then cotto and different styles cotto will finish off what jose cotto started

cotto is older yes, but in his last 3-4 fights his legs has nowhere near started to give out on him. maybe in a few years. right now, he is still in his prime.

Cotto will ko Canelo inside 3 rds

Canelo doesn’t move well though, and he needs to have someone that is standing directly in front of him to do well. Quote by Oscar De la Hoya ... This being said , Expect Cotto to get into a Firefight with Camello in the first 3 rds . Cotto will ko Camello....

          Canelo will Win

And, I suspect it shouldn't be close. Cotto hasn't show improvement in skill, only improvement in matchmaking.

          Canelo will expose Cotto.

The Canelo will be exposed by GGG.

what did Jose Cotto start exactly? Because from what I recall, he LOST against Canelo, right?....

Oh you mean because he buzzed Canelo in that fight....well then I guess it's only fair to say that Canelo can finish what Torres started, right?

Oh no, wait,,...Margarito, Pacquiao, Trout & Floyd already did that....
