Why do different fighters punches look different in terms of their motion

If you look at how, Foreman, Liston, and Tua hit they all start off kinda slow but by the time the punch hits it has gathered a ton of speed, this is especially obvious if they miss, their hand flies off. They all are HEAVY punchers.

If you look at gerry Cooney its a weird punch its very tight stiff and sudden and extremely powerful ive never seen anyone punch in this motion before.

If you look at earnie shavers its weird his punches are a bit faster than foremans or listons but they dont accelerate much they are a very consistant speed from start to finish.

If you look at Tysons pacmans or roy jones jrs they are both explosive from the start and quite heavy but the explosive punchers never hit as hard as the slower heavier punchers like foreman.

Anyone know why this is, and before you say genetics I dont think it is, because both Foreman and Liston are two different men, that went to the same trainer and punch in exactly the same way ie heavy and slow I dont think thats a co-incidence.

Same with Tyson and that guy that got knocked out by liston, who is famous for the gazelle punch, anyway both different men with different genetics, and yet they both had the same trainer and both his extremely explosively. Thats not genetics or coincidence.

Different techniques are more/less suitable to different boxers based on their attributes, that is all it is. Foreman didn't have the natural quickness or explosiveness to punch with the same way Pacquiao or Jones could. Foreman had slow feet, so he had to gain as much leverage and rotational force as he could, which is why when he missed, he missed very wide.

Pacquiao and Jones had explosive feet and quick hands. They didn't need as much rotational force or leverage as Foreman did because they could generate additional power from their feet. When Pacquiao throws that straight left or when Jones throw that left hook, they are explosively pushing off their feet, making their punches more powerful. Foreman obviously did not have ability, he was glued to the floor and relied on leverage and rotational force.

Every technical aspect of sport can differ based on the habit the athlete established at the very beginning. It would be much stranger if they all looked the same.

Everything from a golf swing to a stance at a pool table differs across individuals.

Thing is it doesnt differ that much and their are obvious patterns, Tua, Foreman, and Liston are all doing it the exact same way.

Tyson, RJJ, Pacman, etc are too.

Then there are werd odd guys like Cooney and perhaps shavers that dont do it like any one

cooney was a very unique offensive HW. he generated a ton of power in close in spite of the fact that he was big and tall.

great left hook to the liver [and balls!] ask larry holmes. pretty sure his nuts still hurt.

I have no idea why this is. They all throw the hardest punch they can throw. I wish I could give you a helpful answer but I can't. I have noticed the things you pointed out. The power comes from the speed the punch is traveling when it lands and the amount of weight the boxer is able to turn into the punch.
