Imagine if Broner wanted to fight the best who fought two divisions below him but not one above him. He would be called a "cherry picker."

One minute it is "ggg fights for pride and not the money and wants to go to 154 for Mayweather because he is the best and wants to challenge himself." But when you bring Ward up and if you truly want to fight the best and cement your legacy why not fight Ward at 168? "Ward is boring, and doesn't bring in money, has 2 fans in Oakland and nobody would buy the fight." Hmmmmm.... That sounds like double talk.

When it comes to ggg vs Ward it is all about money and financial sense. But when it comes to ggg facing Floyd at 154 it is because he wants to challenge himself?

This is another one I hear I had to body bag dude. "Floyd fought three times at 154 so he can fight ggg at that weight what's the problem?" And when asked ggg should be pressured to fight Ward at 168. "ggg has never fought at 168 why should ggg go up and fight the best in a division he has never fought at?"

Last time I CHECKED HE has fought at neither 154 or 168!! It is okay for him to go down and fight a smaller going on damn there 40 year old fighter to a division he has never fought in ad that be okay. But needs tune ups and 2017 to fight Ward? So shouldn't do same rule apply. If you should have a few test fights at 168 before fighting Ward?

Why not have a few test fights at 154 before fighting Floyd? Maybe Lara, Andradade? Charlo Twins? Canelo? It is easy as shyt to pick apart ggg fans and double standards. Only people that should stay and fight in one division are heavy weights for the simple fact it gets no higher than that.

Imagine if Tyson was dominating at 160 but scared to move up to face the top guy at 168? Yeah you can't imagine Tyson being scared of that neither can I.

Ward should and will move up to fight Kovalev and I love it. May the best man win that fight. The backlash stems from ggg's team saying they will fight anybody from 154-168 and the media saying EVERYBODY is scared of him which isn't true. I had to do it. Listen to HBO commentary especially Lampley and Merchant when he was there that sums it up.
Imagine if Marvin Hagler never moved up and people called him an atg? Imagine if Hopkins didnt move up til he was 40?!?

Right, so Ward can't come down but GGG can? Golovkin has continously stated that he would go to 168 for the right fight. I.e. Froch. He has often said he has no problem making middleweight and his goals are there. But everyone keep reciting that statement which came from his coach anyway.

Ward has stated a long time ago that he'd go through the weights and win belts like his hero Roy Jones Jr. He would go to heavyweight he said.

Why isn't that being told in every thread? Why are we holding GGG to a statement and not Ward? Ward is more a lightheavyweight than GGG is a supermiddleweight.
Dude, you CLEARLY don't want to see that fight because you know EXACTLY what will happen

Mentioning Ward at HW is absurd.

Could you be more desperate ?

        That's a ridiculous double standard.

        Let's talk about this:

“By 32 years old, Andre Ward will be heavyweight champion of the world,” says the confident trainer. “He has always beaten guys bigger than him, even in the amateurs. If Andre gets to 200 pounds naturally and maybe grows an inch taller, he could become heavyweight champion absolutely.”

Why don't anyone talk about this??
Because it's absurd..... and very few people are that desperate.

Chill dude, Ward is at 175, he has moved on to bigger and better things.

LacedUp, Ward not not make offers to HW's, and then duck Klitschko.

Like Golovkin did to him at 68

Well I didn't mention it, he did and so did his trainer.

But I don't hear you reciting it as gospel in every single post like you do GGG?

            Why such bias against GGG?

Yeah it's absurd. but he said it. He also said he would move to 175 in 2012 and he's said he wants to go see Kovalev continously for a couple of years.

Why not hold Ward to that standard?

Clearly not the same scenario. Ward is not Klitschko at heavyweight. He's not considered SMW champion and he's definitely not no cashcow.

Why would GGG go to Oakland and fight in front of 3 thousand people for 200k when he could fight Froch at Wembley for belts + 100 times the payday?

              Simpleton.

HBO (Larry Merchant) was the brains behind Manny moving up all the way to WW to fight Oscar. Everyone thought that was a bad idea because they thought Manny would lose badly. Still, HBO went with that fight.

Floyd was allowed to cherry pick fighters that were relatively unknown at the WW division. Marquez was fighting at 130 the year before he was called up by the white fighter called, ...... Floyd Mayweather to fight at WW ..... So there goes Floyd's good points.

Its less about being racist and more to do about making money and of course, being fan friendly fighter.

GGG has Canelo and Cotto hanging around 160. Could be a very lucrative fights if it happens. Ward fight would be a good fight for a fight fan but would bring less money at this point in time.

Ward has had some bad luck and stuck in a division that is going nowhere. Also, has done nothing of late. So the move was an obvious one, even for Ward. No use in waiting and letting more time go by.

And its funny that when Floyd claims "conspiracy" to create a white star, Floyd fans call it "good points', "facts" and so on. Floyd using something on the prohibited list and his excuses do not add up as good reasons to be taking an IV, Floyd fans are not saying the same. Even though there is evidence, they want to see more. A lot more and want to shut down threads.

How come you do not say all that with Floyd's statements? Where is the evidence? Floyd has video tapes of all this?

Andre doesn't seem to identify with it, which is fine and his right, but his father was 100 percent Irish.

GGG also doesn't seem to identify with it, also his right, but his mom is Korean.

GGG and Ward are equally white.

Your white star is already Andre Ward.
