He has a few things working for him as I remeber about the guy. He is a mad man in the gym. He is solid with his punching and is tough and comes to fight. He needs a real boxing trainer Maybe somone like Yanchello the guy that trains brock. He needs to learn foot work and pass of boxing he also has to figure out his style and make it work for him. He also has to rewire his brain to a sertain degree to be 100% focused on fists coming at him that may be a little hard. I think he will do ok he won't be a champ but maybe a top jounryman. Maybe maybe depending how he turns out might get into the top 25 if he takes to boxing

It was his first fight and it got little if any pub outside brazil. Look at skelton who has had some success Vitor as a Fighter had a better all round game than skelt if I remeber right, regardless he should fight at cruser not HW

Didn't really pay attention to him when he was in UFC but the matches I did see with him were good. Should be interesting to see him box. Don't think he'll be to much of a great boxer though.

i agree with arealfighter, i think he should go cruiserweight.

his mma rec does have some decent wins over tank abbot(the fearless bar brawler), (tough) wanderlei silva, randy couture. has losses to some great comp as well - my main man kazuzhi sakuraba, couture, ortiz, and chuck liddell.

he isn't very tall however, listed at boxrec at 6'1" and weighed in at just a bit over 220 in his pro boxing debut. in his mma rec at sherdog he is listed at 199 lbs. what's confusing is that on sherdog he's listed as 5'11" but boxrec has his height at 6'1".

i don't see him making any huge waves in boxing though. i think he'd have a better chance at cruiser than heavy.

He looks like a great boxer against guys who are mostly non-boxers, or just plain mediocre boxers.
His fast-for-MMA handspeed will be ordinary against a true boxer.

He will do well, only if he's matched very carefully.
