i'll just say this - he better not step up the comp too quickly. he has a good number of fights behind him, but fighting with a better class of opponents is something that needs to be gradual.
Introducing Paul "The Punisher" Williams

Williams is my kind of fighter
Paul Williams looked great tonight against a badly outclassed, flabby, slow guy in Rios but his next fight is against a far more serious opponent with the daunting name of Walter Dario Matthysse:

As long as Williams has a good chin he can keep fighting the way he does, throwing plenty of punches and standing inside sometimes. He bobs and weaves, uses angles, keeps his hands up and doesn't give his opponent a big target to aim for in spite of his size. Technically he's outstanding. He will get plenty of knockouts due to the volume of punches and his conditioning rather than 1 punch knockout power.Comment

He needs to work on his D. He was taking some pretty good shots. If he is in with a volume puncher like Margarito who wont get tired like Dario Matthysse, and also has some pop in his punches even tho looking a Dario Matthysses' record would show that he has some power too. But he just ran outta gas fast. If he improves his defense he should be a fighter to keep your eye on for the future. And he has a great chin, he took those clean shots like nothing.Comment

Walter Mathyse was'nt a journeyman before he lost to Williams lol, he was an undefeated prospect just like Williams, and Sharmba Mitchell is a 2 time light welterweight champion, who Williams is facing next on 19th AugustOriginally posted by LondonRingRulesTime for Williams to step it up. KOs come cheap these days against journeymen.Comment
