Chisora was gifted the Vitali fight after K2 d1cked him around with the cancelled Wlad fights. Neither Chisora nor Helenius deserved any credit coming out of there fight, Chisora threw wide over hand rights all night and showed little boxing prowess against an opponent clearly struggling.
Yeah and Vitali sold it on the fact that Chisora was robbed blind against Helenius who is simply an awful boxer.
Was Helenius injured during the Chisora fight. ? If he was not he has reached his ceiling and I say Teper beats him handily.
He was indeed injured quite bad. He subsequently suffered several setbacks as he, according to his team, was pressured into training before his injuries was sufficiently healed.
Before his injury he was a fine prospect. It remains to be seen if he is back at full strenght.

The fight was close, robbed blind is nonsense, it could easily have swung for Chisora or Helenius likewise. It was a poor fight, judged by the fact Chisora did not convince two judges he was worth the win, was Helenius ? Maybe not but I personally did not see a clear deserving winner. Chisora is and always was shyt, if Helenius was lying and feigning injury that says even less for himself, the fact he overcome the pressure fighting Chisora with those injuries documented may very well prove he has a deeper reserve than we are giving him credit for.
What is it you have come to dislike about Helenius, and makes you feel he is an awful boxer, you question him over the Chisora fight alone ?

I don't dislike him, I said before the Chisora fight when he was KOing a bunch of bums that he was terrible and he showed that in the Chisora fight which he clearly lost no matter how much spin you want to put on it. I don't know what people saw in him. He had power but otherwise was just awful.

This is such an uninformed and inaccurate post, I'm not sure where to start. Have you watched any Robert Helenius' fights, or are you just basing your opinion on the Chisora fight? The Chisora fight - he had an off night and wasn't effective; that's not indicative of his whole career.
Helenius is a very good boxer in my estimation. He's a tall fighter who uses his reach and size very much to his advantage. He uses his long sharp jab to set up his straight rights, uppercuts and occational body punches; when his (usually) smaller opponent tries to attack, he steps out of their punching range and keeps a high guard. In his fight against former HW champion Lamon Brewster, he methodically boxes and breaks his opponent until the eventual knockout:
I thought Chisora beat Helenius but you can't ignore the fact Chisora was beating on a guy who essentially only had one good working arm to fight with...
Even Chris Byrd could beat up Vitali when that was the case, give props to Robert for not giving up.

An "off-night" the first time he actually faces someone with something of a pulse, he has an "off-night".
I said he was terrible before he fought Chisora so yes I did watch his fights.

I don't understand how you can be so dismissive of fighter like Helenius. Just look at his record (and watch the fights) and you'll see, that for a guy at 21-0, he's faced and beat some pretty good competition. He fought Lamon Brewster in his 11th fight; granted, Brewster was a faded fighter by then, but he was still a dangerous foe. And he destroyed Liakhovich, Bindenko, and Samuel Peter with relative ease.
The guy knows how to box and how to fight and we'll see that when he faces Teper in December.
I've followed Robert Helenius since he went pro and I've always touted him as a top heavyweight; he's had some setbacks, but I still think he has potential.

He knocked out a bunch of faded former names and then lost to the first fresh guy with ambition that he fought.
Sorry for being unconvinced. He's just a slow and stiff European fighter with power. I don't see anything special about him.
