Stevenson, King of the Quebec Boxing

98.5 Sports) - In the wake of some major fights involving Quebecers the animator Mario Langlois took the initiative to draw up a list of the five best pound for pound boxers in the province, in collaboration with various industry experts. The LHW champion of the WBC, Adonis Stevenson, gets to the top of the charts.
David Lemieux (34-3-0, 31 KOs) has recently fought against the unbeatable Kazakh Gennady Golovkin in a world title fight; Jean Pascal (30-3-1-1, 17 KOs) taking revenge against the powerful Russian Sergey Kovalev; Lucian Bute (32-2-0, 25 KOs) will attempt to defeat the English, James DeGale.
In short, the important clashes featuring Quebec pugilists abound in recent years.
Ten boxing experts have lent themselves to this analysis to establish a ranking of the best boxers from us: Daniel Cloutier boxing columnist; descriptor boxing Sports 98.5 Jacques Thériault; sports journalist Jeremy Filosa of 98.5 Sports; former coach and cutman (responsible for the prevention and management of injuries) Russ Anber; the former world champion Eric Lucas; Mark Ramsey coaches and Stephan Larouche; Vice President and head of recruitment at the Group Yvon Michel Bernard Barré; the boxer and boxing analyst Sebastien Gauthier 98.5 Sports and RDS journalist Jean-Luc Legendre.

Some of these stakeholders have preferred to keep confidential their selection because of their close involvement in the world of boxing.
At the end of the analysis, the champion of the LHW WBC Adonis Stevenson (27-1, 22 KOs), even if it has not received the approval of all specialists, would the best Quebec boxer at present, in all categories.

The Montrealer Artur Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KOs), meanwhile, is in second place, ahead of Jean Pascal few points which ranks third. Eleider Alvarez and David Lemieux (18-0-0, 10 KOs), respectively, getting the fourth and fifth. Lucian Bute, meanwhile, is practically tied with Alvarez.

I don't think he had to do all of that to figure out who was #1, ranking the others, however, is interesting.

Pascal and Lemieux deserve more credit for losing in gutsy efforts to the best on the world than Stevenson does for ducking Pascal, Hopkins, Kovalev, one after the other.

He is clearly the best boxer in Canada, and one of the best boxers in the world. If he fights Kovalev I think he will get KOed.

Hands down the #1 fighter in Canada

Gets a unwarranted amount of hate around here but hope down the road he fights Kov and pulls off the upset. I'd be down with a Beterbiev fight alO but that is probably just as unlikely

It's completely disgraceful how people disrespect Queen Stevenson. Sukotsky, Bika, Karpency, c'mon, ADONIS IS #1 P4P fighter in the WORLD. No one can compete! That is a fact

yeah but before that he faced Fonfara, Bellew, Cloud, Dawson that's a Solid run and probably has a better resume then Kov.

He's like 38 he probably signed with Haymon to get more $, get some easy fights have 1 or 2 big fights to cap off his career.
