The turn around in say he need to fight one of the top fighter 15-20 pounds heavier. And now the mysterious "they" is trying to make him a star.
GGG has a fan friendly style and he is a great ambassador for the sport. Why wouldn't "they" want to turn that into a star.
The GGG era has arrived, I'll be tuning in to see how you handle future developments.

GGG versus Canelo, May 2nd. AT&T Stadium, in front of (damn that place holds 100,000, so they will hold as any as will show up, I would).
Young gun versus the sniper.

I love hearing news like this. Golovkin's career advancing, getting more exposure, all while Ward's career fizzles out like a beershlt and his fans cry injustice. Super Six doe.

GGG would KO Cotto & Canelo on the same night. I would like to see him do it but he can't force them to fight him.
GGG will pick up the belt and then unify and then eventually move up to 168. The momentum he has will only build. He has all the leverage with all the belts. Canelo will have nothing. He can't make 154 anymore and he will be GGG's ***** at 160. Cotto doesn't care because he is at the end of his career and can easily make 154 and fight a couple more times there.
Canelo is completely boxed in while GGG is the champion. Canelo has the most to lose by not fighting GGG.

It'd also be a GB co-promotion. I imagine they'd have some plans for the co-features.Originally posted by The Gambler1981 View PostThey can put up the curtain to cut that down. Although I don't know why they would fight Johnson in Texas, seems like an opponent you fight on already established turf not to stake out new ground with.
If they do fight johnson in Texas, they'll need a very strong undercard... but it'd probably be Roman vs some Asian... whether it's his mando or Ruenroeng
