Did you guys read? Even though Trout, Lara, and Mayweather are very good, none of them have the fighting style of Cotto.

I usually don't factor trainers much, but canelo has such a shlt team lol. Cotto got this in the bag

Last prediction of JMM was that Mares was gonna defeat Santa Cruz, with somewhat similar arguments, bottom line, implying that the more experienced and better boxer was Mares, yet we all can see what happened.

So his predictions are just as good anybody else's IMO.

He says Cotto did better vs. Mayweather, but, by the same token, Canelo did much better than Cotto vs. Trout. Marquez conveniently forgot mentioning that.

Marquez has never liked Canelo and he has said that Saul is the product of mass-media hype and was handed in championships that he never won working really hard for them. I do agree with him on that. I also think JMM was a much better boxer than Canelo, but JMM had a great trainer and Canelo insists on being trained by his family (his dad I think) which I feel it's a big mistake. Yet being eclipsed as a Mexican boxing star when you are obviously better, must hurt a lot. If Cotto wins, JMM will say "I told you so" but if he loses, it will be interesting to hear him talk about the fight and swallow his pride and give some credit to the young redhead for the very first time in his life. But I don't think that will ever happen.

Doesn't JMM have a beef with Canelo over being pampered? I don't speak Spanish, but somebody said JMM was going in on Canelo in this video regarding that. Much appreciated if somebody could give an overview of the conversation here.

Canelo's size will be too much

For all the skill Cotto comes with, Canelo will hurt him, my prediction is he hurts him and takes him out, although the up to that point, Cotto may be winning on points.

Marquez knows more about boxing than all of us put together

Basicly means that cotto will win
Canelo is an 8 round fighter
Then it's all bad he gasses and starts huffing and puffing

For me, Canelo is overrated. Cotto has wayyyyyyy more skills than him but Canelo is so big. I had Trout and Lara winning their fight vs Canelo. But seriously I think Canelo will win just because hes so much bigger than Cotto. Cotto doesnt belong to 160 ( I think ) and Canelo ,as much as he wants to say his body isnt ready for 160 , is a MW.

Nelo has shared the ring with Mosley, Trout, Angulo, Lara, Mayweather & Kirkland and people STILL talk as if Nelo doesn't have much experience, cmon son stop it

At his young age Canelo has been around and came back, if he loses it's not going to be because of experience, it's going to be because he is not going to be able to handle Cotto's movement...the number is out on how to beat Canelo, apply the sweet science and you good!

Well you can take Mosley and Angulo out the equation... They were just punching bags and gave no real experience to canelo during there fight and both were along way past there primes , Lara was an experience of track and field ...and mayweather showed the vast difference in class...I will give you Kirkland as canelo probably looked the most explosive and acurate that I have ever seen him fight, but do we put that down to canelo being brilliant or Kirkland being poor , I think what Marquez is trying to say that this fight will be a true test because cotto has a combination of styles has a world of experience and been proven to take a beating and still come on down the stretch and still beat you , but I think canelo might just be to young and dynamic for an older cotto in this fight and go's on to to stop him late , cotto showed lack of stamina in the closing rounds of mayweather as he pushed the fight to evens after 9 rounds but then faded and he is fighting a more powerfully guy with canelo

Canelo and Cotto will never fight GGG and the only way for them to avoid it without being totally ridiculed is to fight to a draw and then book a rematch a year or so later.
