Ali had to have agreed to it. He must've done it just before the fight.

He seemed pretty adamant on twitter that he wouldn't take any step aside money. If he did, then it's on him, but I think Bob just maneuvered around it.

I wonder if Oscar regrets making that call to Arum. Arum played him like a fool. If Canelo loses to Cotto, his company is done.

word is he still never took a step aside, i think GBP pulled a sneak move and took a deal without his consent. its ****** bc bradley should be stripped and ali should be fighting for the vacant title. the wbo just like the wba and wbc going against their rules as usual.

Well the WBO better get ready to strip because nobody is fighting anybody that they can't make good money off of. those days are gone. this is a deadly sport. Tim bradley if he wins wants to cash out in the pacquiao rubber match.

The article suggests that Ali was OK with Bradley taking another fight in the mean time and that infact he himself was negotiating a fight with Vargas to take place before fighting for the title.

They made sure to point out that if Bradley does move up to 154 as has been indicated by Arum, that he will immediately vacate the title and that Ali will be ordered to fight another contender for it.

I find all that very interesting. My guess is that Ali will end up as the WBO champion one way or the other.

very unlikely IMO. ali has stated till this day on his twitter he never agreed to a step aside deal. and as far as bradley moving up leads to him vacating the belt, i doubt that also. bradley was allowed to keep his wbo 140 title when he moved up to fight abregu at 147 and then dropped down. he also by passed the 9 month defense rule in the process and kept his title. the wbo does what it wants, when it wants to. only thing id agree on is ali will be champ bc hes not making other moves outside the wbo, he can easily fight for the ibf but declined to last month which is why hes not ranked high anymore for them.
