Comments Thread For: DeGale: Jack Unification Would Be Massive in Las Vegas

James DeGale is determined to book a unification bout against WBC super-middleweight champion Badou Jack in 2016.

The Londoner (21-1-KO14) won the IBF crown in May when he outpointed Andre Dirrell in Boston and is making his first defence on November 28 when he takes on former champion Lucien Bute in Quebec City.

Big fight? Guess it depends on what that means.

Career wise? Yes, for both DeGale and Jack, it would be an "important" fight.

Commercially? In itself, not a big fight.

DeGale has become of a liked individual; this was more so to do with Groves i would say personally, he didn't represent himself too well with his fights against Froch.

DeGale is more liked now, it's been a complete swing in public opinion over the past couple of years. Everyone realised that Groves was actually the bell-end all along.

Do English fighters and promoters realize just how few tickets black fighters sell here in the U.S.?

Why do these English dudes even come here to fight? There's actual interest in them back home, they come here to fight in front of empty stands, on Haymon cards in the middle of no where.

Chunky is more liked now than he once was, you have to hand it to the guy, he went from fighting in leisure centres, literally, to winning a world title in the space of a couple of years. His post-fight interviews have been a bit more measured and he doesn't embarrass himself as much as he used to. Still a bit of an eejit though, you can tell - I can't believe he's going to Canada to fight Bute, he barely beat Dirrell, I thought that fight was a draw.

Hardly. Degale is still a massive bell-end, always will be.
