    Has the Sport Gotten Better?

Some believe boxing overall has gotten better as a sport. I'm not too sure about that.

    Positives-
    Fighters are having longer careers.
They seem to make more money.
They only have to fight 12 rounds.
It is much easier to become a champion.
TV coverage and internet coverage make the fights better to watch.

    Negatives-
There are too many titles to establish one champion in a division.
The commentating seems biased almost always.
    Serious lack of inside fighting.
Champions only fight twice a year.
The weight divisions in the lower weights are ridiculous.

He has helped out with the free fights for sure. I hope they keep getting better. That card with Fonfara and Cleverly was excellent.

Now that should be ad fight. I'm going for Porter, but not sure which way it will go.

I like the fact that boxing is getting back on TV and there's a lot of boxing to watch.
But, at the same time, when I watch fights on YouTube to get me pumped for the gym, most of the best fights are from the late 70'-early 2000's. It's not nostalgia because most of them took place before I even watched boxing on a regular basis. There's still plenty of newer stuff I watch it seems like there's fewer truly great fights these days.

I agree. There's definitely something missing. I think it's all the titles and all the ducking. When the best don't fight the best, you get the worst.
