Lately, 168 and 175 have the most potential for excitement, IMO, as these are good sized guys who bring real-world power, but are quick and agile enough to be interesting on a technical level. Smaller guys are always going to be less impressive to some extent because they are small guys. They lack that aura of power.
When HW's weren't such hulking monsters, they were far more popular with the public because they could actually move and entertain. Not so much anymore. If this was 15 years ago and beyond, I'd probably vote HW but the entertainment is gone in that division.
Welterweight has historically been my favourite weight class and it pretty much still is. When I was younger, however, I was oddly fascinated by the little guys. Anything Flyweight or under was must see for me and I love even now when they have big names down there.
Welterweight by far for me, it's the perfect division for fast guys that can actually hit. Below welterweight and the guys don't have enough power to be all that threatening, and no I'm not impressed by the "skills" of a 122-lb guy I could pick up and throw. Above welterweight and you get a lot of sluggish fighters that rely too much on their power and not enough on technique.
