You don't know what you are talking about and nothing you said is true. Trinidad was "busted" for using too much tape by New York rules and his wraps would have been legal anywhere else but New York. Tape has no effect on punching power. Trinidad did nothing illegal and was not fined or punished. He just had to rewrap his hands losing less tape. Big deal. Trinidad hit as hard as ever after that fight and he had knockouts including Majorga who nobody else could even hurt. Mayorga said Trinidad was the hardest puncher he ever fought by far. Quit disrespecting an all time great with false accusations. Trinidad never cheated and was never accused of doing anything illegal with his hand wraps. He got his power naturally with hand speed and perfect punching technique.

The rules of boxing are a boxer must wrap his hands in front of a member of the boxing commission and a member from the opposite team. Then the gloves are put on and marked and they can't be removed without disturbing that mark. Many posters are unaware of this rule and make false accusations about boxers cheating with the way they wrapped their hands.

Vargas was simply not going to last 12 rounds with Tito ever in his steroid loving life.

          "Vargas too green though.."

"Morales no longer green enough though"

          "Tony's eye though..."

          "The ref saved Cotto though"

          "Rafa was shopworn though"

          "Canelo was too young though"

          "Chavez was too old though..."

          Fckin comedy.

            Exactly.

If Tony with PLASTER did NOT exhibit Taino God KO power... "tape" ala Vegas, would certainly NOT give Trinidad the type of power he had.

Hardened wraps would only serve to cut an opponent up NOT decapitated an opponent ala Tito Trinidad.

NONE of Tito's victims ever showed signs of being butchered ala Luis Resto.

Tito had those soft gentle wraps with that Taino Chicken broth bazooka power.

Never. Vargas was never on Trinidad's level.

Given the style that Vargas fought I don't think he would have ever beaten Tito. Vargas liked to make it a point that he would stand and trade because it made him more of a Mexican fighter. It's that kind of style that was tailor made for Trinidad. To beat him you had to use evasive movement or have a hell of a killer jab behind a tight guard.

Trinidad was weak against a good jab. Look at his fights against Wright and DLH.
