    Yawn.

Tired of hearing guys always say this kind of ****. The guys that beat their ass/brutally knocked them out supposedly didn't have much power, but the guys that they handily defeated were the best/biggest punching opponents.

Paulie Maliganggi is the KING of this ****.

IIRC wilder injured his hand early against stiverne

from what ive seen it looks more like wilders punches are sometimes deflected... one of the reasons it looks like he could suffer another injury. but when he does make contact at a good angle the opponents are walloped.

his last opponent took shot after shot without going down. either the guy had a cement chin or wilders power is hugely overrated. he really hasnt stopped any guys that were known to be durable. I think he has good power but a level below wlads

In the interview he said he's been training since March but didn't plan to fight again until late in the year so I suppose we'll see if he's back on form next week.

i dont' think wilder hits as hard as he used to with the right hand. he's got a lot of hardware in there from when he broke the thing.

boxers don't talk about their hands, but they're never the same once they've been broken. it's a hugely significant part of boxing. people who have never hit anything hard with a small glove on don't understand the kind of beating your hands take, nevermind the kind of pounding you sustain as a professional boxer.

still, he hits harder than arreola. stiverne stopped throwing against wilder, and kept his hands at home. part of that was the reach, but the punches were also very clearly effecting him.

also, wilder has a better left hook than he used to. he used to just wail away, and guys would fall unconscious when he landed.
