They're both British and the Brits talk their fighters up. But outside of that it's a matchup of top 5 super bantamweights with skill and power unifying title belts. Not a bad way to waste 45 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

Yeah, and he was talking about DeGale, Groves & Selby all fighting on Joshua undercard

Fair enough. Sounds like it has some potential.

I will be watching it with a brewski in hand, and NSB at the low-ready.

A good 45 mins it will be.

        • Does anyone know how much Quigg usually weighs on fight night?

I am looking for reasons to bet on him really but will probably just stick with the Frampton on points choice. If Quigg is usually massive and is restricted to 10 pounds then that could be huge. But these are tiny men. Surely Quigg doesn't put on that much.

I am surprised that the McGuigan's have come across so badly. Seem like knobs the lot apart from Blainey. I have taken to Gallagher more recently. Seems like a nice enough bloke.

I agree, Shane and Barry have let themselves down a bit recently.

Quigg made Blainey look like a mug at the press conference, which was funny because I don't think Quigg is known for his razor sharp wit!

            • At least with Blainey he took it and knows he is not a fighter the other two have come across as rampant narcissists.

Barry pushing Clinton Mitchell. For an eloquent and intelligent man who has seen it all he is behaving like a lad coked off his tiny **** at Oceanas.

Shane saying Gallagher was scared of him. F.uck off, mate.

It goes back 4/5 years. Both have been avoiding the other one, both wanted it, animosity between promoters, trainers etc etc It's been a long time coming and now they both have titles on the line. It's a pretty big event and the atmosphere should be one of the best with the English and Irish fans trying to be louder than each other. Hopefully it lives up to the hype

                • Another example of how promotion/hype of a fight can play tricks on people. Loads of people seem to have been swayed from Frampton to Quiggy based on their last fights.

Lets not forget Martinez was Frampton's twice leftovers and yeah Frampton got dropped twice but got up and pretty much controlled the rest of the fight.

                  Frampton wins by clear decision.

                  • Someone help. I've checked all of show times listings and it says the fight starts at 5:30 PST, which means that's a repeat. Am I missing something? I gotta see this fight live, I'm a boxing addict who's having a freak out coz I can't get a hit....
