Quigg looked tired himself though at the end of the 11th and 12th, his technique started to look disorganised and wide. I think he blew his gasket a bit, he has never fought from round 1-12 at a good pace, I have never seen him do it. He may train all year around and be in the best possible shape for him, but there is a difference between that and being someone who can keep up a pace throw a tonne of punches round after round at championship level. He has never proved he can do that, he has only done it in spurts, and to be honest I don't think he can.
I also think he has a little vulnerability around the whiskers, which is why he doesn't open up too much early in fights, although on that point I will say I was surprised that Frampton never wobbled him and he showed great toughness. He must have some "closet" limitations otherwise he would do what he did in rounds 8-11 against both Salinas and Frampton more consistently. The other observation I will make is that in those late rounds against Frampton, the commentators created more drama than was actually there. They were making out that Quigg was actually dominating the action, when if you go back and watch it those rounds were pretty tit for tat, although Quigg was getting the better of it for sure.
