He clearly was bothered. He was in full retreat towards the end with that same distressed look on his face in the second fight.

Not everything is black and white. Cotto did fight a better fight second time around but Margarito wasn't the same force. Cotto also got his nose broken early in the first fight, he didn't have to fight through something like that the second time.

Oh, for sure he was..... but he seemed bothered to about the same extent that Mosley was when he fought Margarito.

Look at the first Cotto fight, those last few punches that landed were battering Cotto, they were thudding off his face...... I just didn't see the same destructive impact from Margarito in the rematch.

Possibly reading a bit much here..... but I will never forget the Roach interview just prior to the Pacquiao fight, where Freddie stated that he studied all of Margarito's tapes and he can tell which fights Margarito cheated because of how the punches landed differently.

Uh, you do know that 2 fighters get paid when there's a match, right? And BTW, Cotto can count on one hand the number of fights he would get paid as well as a Margarito fight. So I'd say the diva needs to wake up and smell the stack o' cashish. He doesn't have to like or respect the guy to get a huge payday from fighting him.

His diva talk here makes about as much sense as him saying GGG isn't a legend yet and deserves no respect or fight.

Cotto can do business with anyone, well just about anyone.

Be disappointed if he rewards Margarito with a payday.

Margarito can fight GGG, he won't need to earn that fight.

That's not how it works, Cotto actually failed to prove Margarito cheated in the first fight. That being said, who cares about this fight.

Watch both fight back to back. Don't we h the fights. Just listen to the punches landed. The thuds are significantly different from margarito in each fight. That could with Cottos face. Coupled with margarito being caught with Shane ncouoked with the suspect pictures of margaritos gloves after the second fight. All those taken together makes a clear circumstantial case that he cheated. In a court of law such circumstantial evidence is enough to convict you. Here on boxingscene it's enough for me to know he cheated. If it's not Enough for you then ok. That's fair. There is enough room here that it's possible he didn't cheat. I just don't think so.

You need 100% proof if you are electing to use the judicial system.

There are other systems that work just as efficiently.

People hide behind the burden of proof dude, " knowing " is far more important.

The guy who shot that sex offender who ****d his son after the legal system failed to find him guilty..... "KNEW".

Go back and watch the fight. Mosley was never running away looking like he was about to **** his pants. Cotto had that same distressed look on his face when Margarito started hunting him down late in the second fight.

The last few punches in the first fight were destructive because Cotto had already taken a battering and was weak and couldn't get out of the way of them. In the second fight, he didn't get hit nearly as much. Partly because he fought a better fight tactically and partly because Margarito was not the same fighter.

Roach also once said that he believed that Margarito had never cheated before. Roach is full of ****.

Watch the ending of the first fight and LOOK VERY CLOSELY TO MARGARITO HANDS be raised and you'll see the cracks in his wraps....then watch Max Kellerman face off cotto margarine 2 and watch his reaction when they show Margarita the replay and point out his wraps he can't even answer Kellerman correctly to busy studder...

This has been gone over so many times, yet the same nonsensical arguments keep resurfacing. The "crack" in Margarito's wrap has been proven to be nothing more than a black string.

Also, there have been tests which show that if you wrap your hands in plaster and punch things, the plaster crumbles. You're also far more likely to break your hands, but don't let that get in the way of a good story.
